Randy Barroso Talking to a women at American Top Team

Randy Barroso

Head Coach

"I began martial arts training in the disciplines of karate and judo at 4 years old. By age 9 martial arts became my passion and that’s when I realized I wanted to dedicate my life to martial arts. At age 13, I received my black belt in Ashihara Karate under Adolfo Corridor Rakusa. After receiving my black belt, I began to help train other students and aid my coach teaching his classes. At age 16, I received my second-degree black belt and began teaching classes on my own. Shortly after I began exploring a new form of martial arts; Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) under Mario Sakuta from Carson Gracie. I have continued to train and teach at other branches of American Top Team in South Florida such as American Top Team Miramar, American Top Team Kendall, American Top Team Fort Lauderdale, and here at American Top Team Aventura/NMB.
